Tested. Stressed. Verified
Anchors let an excavation go deeper without a forest of struts in the middle of it. We drill, install, grout, stress and test — in soil, weathered rock and hard strata — so the retaining wall carries load back into ground that is not moving.
Every anchor is proof-loaded and recorded. Where a design calls for permanent anchors, double corrosion protection and long-term monitoring points are built in from the start.

How we do it
Written down before mobilisation, so nobody discovers the plan halfway through the dig.
Drill
Rotary or DTH drilling to the design bond length, cased where the ground demands it.
Install & grout
Tendon placed and primary grout injected, with post-grouting where capacity needs lifting.
Stress
Hydraulic jacking to design load once grout strength is confirmed by cube test.
Test & lock off
Proof or performance test, then lock off — every anchor with a signed certificate.
Where it is used
Some of the situations clients bring this service to us for.
Anchored diaphragm walls
Two to four anchor levels replacing internal strutting on deep basements.
Soil nailing & slopes
Cut slopes and hillside platforms held with passive nails and shotcrete.
Rock faces
Permanent rock anchors on cut faces beside roads and rail formation.
Uplift resistance
Tension anchors under basement rafts in high water table conditions.

On record
Verticality logs, cube results, test certificates and daily safety sheets are collected as the work happens and issued weekly — not assembled the week before handover.
Frequently asked
Something else on your mind? Call the office — an engineer answers, not a call centre.
Anchors keep the excavation clear for your structural contractor, so the basement goes up faster. Struts win where you cannot anchor beyond your own plot boundary.
Yes, when the bond length crosses the boundary. We flag it at tender and help with the wayleave, or redesign to stay inside the plot.
Every anchor is proof-loaded to 1.5× working load; a nominated percentage gets a full performance test with a load-extension curve in the report.
Yes — with double corrosion protection, a greased and sheathed free length and monitoring points on the head for long-term checks.
